[Support-Thread] Wiki

Post by MisterD » Wed Nov 06, 2013 10:46 pm

The english version of the wiki is now online and available under http://eng.zv-wiki.net/ .
This wiki seems very empty at now, it is intended to get improved by the english players.

I'm not a native english speaker, so i won't do much work in translating the german version to english, and it's likely that i made some translation mistakes. If you find some, so please simply correct them, or post them here.

This thread is intended to be a support-thread for questions and requests regarding the wiki, mostly technical. ;) You can also post content stuff, but I will restrain myself mostly in content-questions regarding the english wiki.

Please take a look at the pages after copying, in the Pills-page all [[Datei:xx links were simply copied, they have to be changed to [[File:xx .
This is very very simple with an text editor that supports "find and replace".
Same thing with Kategorie and Category.

I uploaded the missing icons, its hard to pull out every icon from the game, I've got the full iconset from brainbox, which makes a massive icon-demand easy to handle.

I am happy to announce that i have
finished translating THE WHOLE WIKI by myself.

Though, several pages need item names, or the proper english ingame-names (didnt know them.). Please help the wiki help others!

Thank you for your involvement in translating the existing pages to the new wiki. :)
Some little things are still missing or a bit messy. I also will take a look at the pages and correct some things that are not right jet, and then the new d2n players are mostly responsible for the wiki ;)

Question, regarding Buildings: Findable Items... In the "Amount" column, are we recording the number of items we've found in one "search"? Or are we just recording the total number of searches that have produced said item?

i.e. In the Druglab, Batteries had "1" in the Amount column.
While personally searching the Druglab, I found 8 batteries, twice.
I changed the Amount section for batteries as 1-8. Should I have instead changed the "1" to 3?

under amount should be added the amount of stacks.
the stacks contents have been noted until now next to the item name- it is assumed that the exact numbers inside a stack are in the same range everywhere.
i edited it to the way it has been handled until now.

So by "stacks" you mean the number of times you've found that item(s)?

In which case, as I found batteries on 2 occasions, I'd change the amount under batteries to "3"?
