Why is there a complaint system for dying early?

Like seriously... most people in all the games I see die within the first day or not very long at all. That's just going to shy noobs away from this...

Well, the alternative would be to put a soul point restriction on multiplayer. Of course new players will die fast, but they have the option to practice in single player mode. If I'd allow players to instantly die over and over again in multiplayer games, they would most likely be unplayable.

I get that. Do you look into the complaints, or just give them out if enough players complain? My current game I am bleeding to death and asking my teammates for help (there were a bunch of zombies at the hideout and I had to deal with them.) I am getting no response. I am just wondering what kind of thought process goes behind these complaints.

No, these "complaints" are fully automated. You get one when you survive less than 24 hours and there are still open slots in the game. Each complaint is automatically removed after 1 week of real time. If you have 5 complaints, you can no longer join multiplayer games (single player still works) - until one of your complaints is removed.

There is a system in place that would alert me if someone continuously gets banned from multiplayer; then, I would look into this player's records and I could decide to ban him from multiplayer completely.
But that hasn't happened yet.

I believe it would be a better idea to use the Karma system for this. If someone gets like the level 1 bad karma, then give them a warning and a shorter ban from multi, and if level 2 bad karma is acquired, more action be taken.

I dont think thats fair to ban someone based on their rating. Ill admit I play a bit selfish and horde my food for myself but I don't sabotage anyone elses chances. It wouldn't be fair to punish people for looking out for their own interests it is a survival game after all
