Is there any "New Year" special content, or is there ever going to be?
Which holidays and celebrations have special content or events?

No, there is no special content for a New Year event.

Currently, there are Easter, Halloween and Christmas Events (also October Midness, but that doesn't really qualify as an event). Technically, the game also triggers a New Year Event (30th Dec. to 2nd Jan), but that doesn't have any data attached to it and therefore doesn't do anything.

The amount of events I can do is mostly limited by the time I can afford to spend on working on the game. Usually, I am working on fixing bugs on the current season while working on content for the next season - so there is only a limited amount of time I can spend working on events (which do consume a lot of time).

I'd love to add more events to the game, especifically non-christian oriented ones, but unfortunately this isn't really possible right now, because I don't have the time to programm and research them (I'm an Agnostic living in a predominantly Christian environment, so I know shit about the holidays of other religions).

If there are any other religious holidays concerning the dead (besides Halloween), I would most certainly add them to the game if someone would be able to explain them to me.
